INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
BACKPACK
The Backpack is the main area of inventory that gets carried about with you. Any items you pick up will automatically be placed in the backpack, and all items have a weight. The backpack itself has a limit (30kg), however, you can carry up to 60kg. Going over 30kg will mean you get restrictions on how far you can sprint, and hitting the absolute maximum weight will prevent you from sprinting.
SUPPLY CACHES
Supply caches may be discovered by other characters in the course of their exploration. Primarily these are caches created by other characters in buildings they've explored, as ways of leaving extra items behind. It is recommended these are created only in locations that the character is planning on trying to turn into a base for themselves or the group of characters they're with.
CLOTHING
Clothing, in this case, will be used to refer to items of clothes being worn. They still have a weight to them which does affect how much you can carry, however, heavier clothing will also reduce how long you can sprint for. Wet clothing increases the risk of freezing clothes (which have to be removed and dethawed), as well as hypothermia and frostbite.
RESOURCES
The following pages list the weight of items, so you can work out what is left where. It is advised that you do not rely on this page however for information on surviving in the Long Dark to utilize on this RPG, as there are some key differences.
